The body and engine are held in place in the chassis by small screws with hexagon heads, where these would be to large for scale, then hexagon headed rivets are used and secured with a spot of super glue.  The plating is bright nickel, using a home plating kit. The headlight lenses, are first embossed with a heated lens pattern, then cut to size with a circular cutter.
