With the basic chassis frame now together the additional fittings are made from brass stock, pinned and soft soldered in place.  The fittings for holding the independent front suspension need to be particularly  accurately placed. I have used investment casting in this work because a number of models will be required, with different bodies, on these chassis.  If one is only intending to build a single model, then one could just as well fabricate all of the parts.  Those parts intended to be used as master patterns for investment casting, should be made about 4% oversize to accommodate the shrinkage inherent in the process of producing the castings.
