The sheet copper panels are first assembled with Sellotape to the hard wood pattern and then spot soft soldered together removing the tape as the solder holds the parts together.  The front and rear sections being soldered in place by having only one of the two centre patterns in place at a time, to allowing the patterns to be removed when the shell is complete. The chassis is the standard 2.9 Alfa Romeo chassis with the larger Mille Miglia fuel tank.
